Anti-spam measures on the forums

Due to excessive spamming in the past week or so, I've added some extra defenses to these forums:

* People will now need to answer a simple question to join these forums
* The mail.ru email domain is no longer accepted for emails.

If the problem persists I'll have to take some more strenous actions.

Spammers will not win on Chasing the Sunset. The war has been going for many years now but though they have had some small victories, we endeavour to at least keep them brief.

There is something wrong. I have not been able to comment for days. I think the anti-spam measures blocked the comments. I am upset because I love the Cts comic and I love participating in the discussions.   I cannot do that until I find a way to change or fix whatever is making the website think I am a spammer. I know the anti-spam measures are important, and I am not suggesting that they change, but any suggestions on how I can do my part would be appreciated.
