The defendant is attorney for the plaintiff. Oh, yes, not hardly serious at all.
I like how the banner changes in much the same way as the hair-color does.
haha! This is good! I like his colour-changing hair. Didn't notice that before, blind me. Ayne has a very nice evil smile on her face. Can't wait for the outcome! Unfortunately i'll be at camp so i won't see it. :'( Stupid people, saying no comps. *grumblegrumblegrouse* Odd word, grouse. Btw, Dread is my hero now. XD
ShadowDancer says:
I LOVE frame 4. It's soooo cute how all the kittens are curled up with Myhrad.
This should be fun.
Wanderer says:
Ah, I love the chaotic banner on that podium. Elves have funny ears... *snickers*
Heh ... ^^ I recall a mention earlier on in the comic that dragons have feline elements; the kittens have found a nice big brother-figure in Myhrad.
Abui is clearly unusually serious and clearheaded for a pixie. ^^
Lee: Yeah ... horrid isn\'t it? I asked several people whether it was too bad to put in, but they insisted I should run with it :)
There\'s an even worse pun coming, too
As for "Judge Dread" being a coincidence, I prefer to think of it as synchrocin... synchornic... synchromic... oh, I haven't got time to look up the right spelling on the Police album. I prefer to think of it as fate. As opposed to Feiht.
Fiorre says:
Oh that's so cute Myhrad is asleep with all the kittens! Aaawwwwwww!
123 says:
elves have big eyes
PrancyPranceUnicorn says:
OOh me pick me? i sense trouble.
Ajemii says:
dont kill people. they might die.....
Zela says:
This makes me laugh out loud every time I see it! Whee! Dread rules! Well, not literally. Whee.
Furia Firelander says:
Well, a farie court, i wonder what kind of laws they make, something like: All faries have to eat sugar, Or something like that
AnyaStyrzod says:
Haha. This somehow reminds me of Alice in Wonderland. I have no idea why...
Hey out there, Hatter and TeaPartyWabbit (with the Disco Ears!), maybe you can tell me why?? ;)
Ajemii says:
maybe cause it doesnt make all that much sense, if any....
AileenHeather says:
LOL I think you mean Mad Hatter and March Hare
Dragonmaster says:
I love how that little thingy Judge Dread hits with the mallet has a bunch of nails in it. XD
Yes, yes, bad puns! :D I love the direction you've been taking this -- certainly maintaining your existing high standards, and (if possible) constantly improving on your existing work! :D
Gaijin says:
Is it just me, or does the number of nails change between the first and last frame?
"Being pixie means never having to worry about continuity errors" ;)
AnyaStyrzod says:
Yeah, I do mean that. But I also mean Hatter and TeaPartyWabbit. My own nutty reasons. Yes, I'm crazy :)
Hey! Someone else who reads Tamora Pierce!
And I must say that not only does judge dread get more nails from first panel to last, but they also change position and placement. HEE HEE HEE!
bookbook says:
Tamora Pierce? Alanna; the First Adventure? Wild Magic? Sandy's Book? Street Magic? Trickster's Choice? WHERE???????????
Ajemii says:
me for one.....
Ajemii says:
ive read all of those and their sequels.
Ajemii says:
draginladee: he pulls them out and bangs them back in.
AnyaStyrzod says:
Tamora Pierce is awesome :)
AnyaStyrzod says:
It's kinda funny how all us commenters (commentors?) have so much in common
Ajemii says:
i kno it is isnt it?
patchwork zombie says:
you know ow pixies cann do anything they think they can, what if they think thtat they have raysor sharp focusing skills?
bookbook says:
i worship Tamora Pierce & her books... *drools*
Ajemii says:
my favorite is the immortals series....
Ajemii says:
patchwork zombie: i think if they started thinking that, anyone they came near would tell them they couldnt.
and im not sure they would be able to focus long enough to think of that....
Oh, I hadn't read the comments before I posted, so now I have to add this. TAMORA PIERCE ROCKS! I LOVE all of the Tortall books, and the Circle ones aren't bad at all.
CryptoGirl says:
bookbook...do i know you? i think maybe i do...
do people here really think that AYNE is going to try hard to defend FEIHT???
the bad pun is cool. PrancyPranceUnicorn, you must appreciate it...hehe.
and these are fighting words, i know, but Tamora Pierce is very repetitive, i think. its like she has two or three story outlines and just fills in the blanks. but thats just my opinion...the stories are okay.
CryptoGirl says:
and ayne has a very demonic look on her face...this should be good.
bookbook says:
FIGHTING WORDS INDEED!!! TAMORA PIERCE RULES! HOW DARE YOU SAY ANYTHING VAGUELY ASSUMING SHE IS LESS THAN PERFECT! IF I KNOW YOU I WILL DO SOMETHING REALLY BAD TO YOU ONCE I SEE YOU!
ACTUALLY, MY COMPUTER IS ONLY STUCK ON CAPITAL LETTERS. BUT I'M STILL ANGRY!
The Undeniable Grog says:
Don't suppose we could have a drawing of the dragon cuddled up with the kittens?
Currently it rates a 9.0 on the cuteness scale.
AnyaStyrzod says:
Ditto, bookbook!! Except I'm not stuck on capitals!! :P
Ajemii says:
i third that.
Ajemii says:
like 'i second that' only...third because there were already two.
Ajemii says:
but anyway.......TAMORA PIERCE IS NOT REPETITIVE!!!!! is pretty much what i meant.
wwolf says:
I love Tamora Pierce's books!!!!
cloudfire says:
i really like tamora pierce and all, but i think i like mercedes lackey better.
Machiavellian says:
Do NOT get me started on how Mary-Sueish Mercedes Lackeys charecters are. If you want good fantasy I recomend David Gemmel.
thewatermelon says:
Mercedes! I like Corvetts better.
OoOoOoOoOoO llll mnmnmn bbbbbbr
thewatermelon says:
Whos tamora Peirce??
Auryn says:
Karen Marie Moning and Anne Bishop are awesome writers. I'll probably tackle Tamora Pierce once I'm done with Wheel of Time.
I want a bunch of kitties and a dragon for them to snuggle with ^^
Laucian says:
Hah. I'd much rather CREATE my own fantasy setting than read about anyone elses. Although, as long as it's entertaining, I'll read. Such as this *nods*
Ajemii says:
yea, creating ur own is better, but reading is fun too. it gives you ideas and inspiration!...if those dont mean the same thing....
Mercredi says:
So, it just occured to me to ask - is Myhrad's orange-blue-stripe resemblence to the dragon in My Father's Dragon a coincidence, or intentional?
Auryn - Tamora Pierce is a YA fantasy author. Her novels have a lot of female protagonists (especially compared to a lot of contemporary YA fantasy novels), and she seems to be fairly well known. A spit in the eye for the "conventional wisdom" that boys will refuse to read about girl characters, but girls will read about boys, and so you should always have your main characters be boys.
Fiorre says:
Oh my gosh!!! I love Tamora Pierce!!!!!
Fiorre says:
My fav is the immortals series
Lightwing k'Sheyna says:
Yesssss! There are other people in this world who read GOOD books! (Merdedes Lackey and Tamora Pierce!)
Fiorre, the Immortals is my favorite too, along with The Song of The Lioness and anything about Briar, but the Trickster series was pretty good too.
Lightwing k'Sheyna says:
Who here was REALLY dissapointed that Aly only had TWO books?????
Ajemii says:
yup, immortals is my faveorite too....
but really i like all of them..
Ajemii says:
well, the two books she had were bigger than most of the other books tamora pierce wrote.....
Fiorre says:
Mercredi: I definitely do not agree with that at all, I think there should be girl main characters too, even if boys don't read those books. GIRLS CAN STILL ENJOY THEM!!!!!! My best friend's dad reads Tamora Pierce and loves her books!!
Lightwing: Tamora Pierce SO should have written four!!
I've read 2 of Lackey's books,Brightly Burning, and Exile's Honor.
Lightwing k'Sheyna says:
Has every one here forgotten that Misty Lackey has written The Outstretched Shadow and To Light A Candle? Those two books are REALLY good, and I can't wait for the last one.
Fiorre: I AGREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Fiorre says:
Oooooooohh, MEEE, MMEE!!! I've read those tooo, that's so awesome!!! I'm dying to read the last one when it comes out!
Ajemii says:
this is completely random, but i am currently playing fetch with my pet cat.....i taught her how.
Hmm ....
When it comes to fantasy writing nobody can really beat Ursula K. Leguin in my opinion.
Doubt too many here have read the Earthsea saga though ... it\'s too old.
Lightwing k'Sheyna says:
I read some of it...
I was alot younger though, so I got bored. I'll go back and read it again sometime.
AnyaStyrzod says:
Laucian: I agree that creating your own is TONS of fun. But you kinda have to read others' too. As has been mentioned, you have to get inspiration from somewhere!! :P
Havent' gotten around to reading Earthsea Saga yet...waaaay to many books to tackle now.
Osk says:
found an old book some day, very cheap: The Earthsea Quartet
yes, i read it
Dragonmaster says:
Quick conversation interruption, sorry.
I personally find Feiht's ear funnier than elf ears. ^_^
AnyaStyrzod says:
Aside from reading when I'm bored I write wacky fanfictions that include characters and places from my own stories. They turn out reallllllly weird...... :O
Furia Firelander says:
I have got the dvd from the earthsea saga here at home, and i love it
zanarkrimshot says:
hmmm earthsea saga i might look into that im always on the look out for a good read..... glad i found one here ;)
AnyaStyrzod says:
I taped them when they were on TV and I meant to watch them and I never did. I should go do that. And read the books...
Lightwing k'Sheyna says:
I havn't seen the movies yet, but I think books should ALWAYS be read first. Seeing the movie sorta ruins the way you imagine thew character on your own.
AnyaStyrzod says:
And somehow...the books are always better ;)
Ajemii says:
yea, the books are always better cause they cut alot of stuff out from the longer books when they turn them into movies....like the harry potter books i thought were waaaaay better than the movies....
Sitara says:
Some people actually seem to have liked the Potter movies better than the books... I haven't seen all the movies, though, but the first one was a match for the book in my opinion.
Does anyone else find Mercedes Lackey's books somewhat odd when they feature male protagonists? She's great with females, though.
bookbook says:
By the way CryptoGirl, if you really know me than first, what color is my hair, and second, what color do I say my hair is?
Gaijin says:
And yet I predict a swift surge in readership for LeGuin once the Studio Ghibli adaptation of the 3rd and 4th books gets an American release date..
AnyaStyrzod says:
Wait a minute...LeGuin + Ghibli????? DID I MISS SOMETHING?!
Brightly Burning and Exile's Honour were two of Misty Lackey's better books, mostly because she explores the world of Valdemar from the eyes of two young men who have no clue what they're getting into!
But I have to agree with Mithandir: While it has been several years since I've read the Earthsea Saga, it definitely ranks in the top five of my personal favourites for modern fantasy.
Ajemii says:
no idea why this just occured to me, but pixies are really random! .....*slap* of course theyre random! they are PIXIES, after all....
Zyvorg says:
I love the earthsea books, although i'd say the first one was the best
Maverick says:
I'm personally a huge fan of Anne McCaffery and her "Dragonriders of Pern" series myeself...
Gaijin says:
Anya : yeah, Ghibli. Miyazaki Gorou made a film adaptation called "Tales from Earthsea", which is going to be released in Japan on July 29th. Judging from the trailers, it's mostly based on "The Farthest Shore", but Tenar and Therru are important enough to be named in the trailer as well, so there's spillover into "Tehanu" as well.
patchwork zombie says:
c'm on every one TERRY PRACHET
it has Drwarves
AnyaStyrzod says:
Gaijin: Seriously?! I love Miyazaki!!! When does it hit US, anybody know??
Arya says:
Help me!! I am soo behind! Oh well, better later than never, as I always say. patchworkzombie, count me in on the archery practice. I can bring my own bow, arrows, and dwarf. Love the comic. I hate to pester but, when is the next strip coming in?
bookbook says:
To all J.K. Rowling non-fans...
Braccas meas vescimeni!
Anya : at a guess, Fall 2007. I have no info to back that, but that's about the same amount of time between the Japanese and American releases of "Howl's Moving Castle", so...
dragonqueencr says:
Miyazaki is awesome. Howl's is by far the best, then Spirited away, Princess Mononoke, Castle in the sky, then Nascuka (sp) of the valley of the wind. I personally liked Howl's moving castle the movie better than the book but the book does clear up some of the polt holes in the movie like the hat magic.
Maverick, i am also a fan of the dragon riders of pern.
I think i read Earthsea a while ago i do not remember a lot of it though.
On Harry potter- books are better.
Anyone read The Legend of Merlin or the Great Tree of Avalon books?
dragonqueencr says:
BTW anyone know when Rhyme is going to update?
Eikan says:
I really liked Earthsea, but I think I only read the first one...I'm not sure, it's been so long ^_^;;;;;;
Sinity says:
So you went from talking about comics to talking about books.
Ajemii says:
yup ^^.....funny how that happens.....
glennr55 says:
HAven't read Earthsea but did see TV series was really good.
Any1 every read DRagonlance it has alot of stories from alot of different artists.
Terry Pratchet is a good writer
Harry Potter is a really good series and i can't wait to read the end.
glennr55 says:
Oh yeah its NAUSICAA and The Valley of the Wind
Kaya says:
Earthsea?? Too old??? That's like saying... like saying Lord of the Rings is too old! Or Jane Austen, or Shakespeare. No, sorry, Hamlet is too old to read! :)
I have to say though, I have a recent boxed set, and was amused to see that the back cover blurb (ya know, "These books are so great") was by Neil Gaiman. I mean, Gaiman's books are very good, but it's sort of like Luke Skywalker telling people, "Oh, yeah, Yoda, he's a good Jedi. You should check him out."
AnyaStyrzod says:
I definitely can't wait until 2007. :(
I liked Princess Mononoke the best, but they're all good.
As for books...well, I'll read almost any good fantasy that crosses my path, but my favorites are (um, let's see if I can narrow this down) Artemis Fowl, Harry Potter, the Inheritance trilogy (which isn't finished quite yet, unfortunately), the Bartimaeus trilogy, Tamora Pierce, etc. I've probably left several out....
AnyaStyrzod says:
And happy birthday Alien!! :)
Gaijin says:
Hmm... for Ghibli.. it's a tossup. We have Spirited Away for just sheer wonderfulness, and we have Totoro for such innocence...
Ah heck, they're all good. Even Grave of the Fireflies, and that one made me cry.
AnyaStyrzod says:
*looks guilty* I actually haven't seen them all. But I'm working on it!!
Let me amend what I said before: All the ones I've seen are good. Although I'm sure they all are :)
Sinity says:
I almost read earthsea, but for some reason I never did. hehehe
xenafax says:
hurray!
i catched up at last!
Great comic,i love it,plus its getting even better with time.Great job guys.
and of course happy birthday...
AnyaStyrzod says:
Sinity: Yes, that seems to be the case with me too....
Sinity says:
This comic makes me want to write a comic. o.o
Furia Firelander says:
It is al little bit late, but happy birthday Alien
merlin says:
yay! happy b-day, alien.
no one's mentioned holly black yet-- I loved Tithe. haven't been able to get Valiant, but i'm sure it's just as good. also, inkheart and inkspell are really good.
(these are books...)
anyway, i thought the bad pun was sort of funny...
merlin says:
sinity: no kidding
AnyaStyrzod says:
I would write one if I could draw half as well...alas, I lack such talent -_-
CryptoGirl says:
i like harry potter, and inheritance (anyone know when the third is coming out???) and lotsa others.
Anyone read The Golden Compass and the rest in that trilogy? theyre so cool.
Bookbook: i'm not sure i know you, i just thought i might, because of the way you talked about tamora pierce. and how could you do something bad to me if you dont know who i am? even if we do know each other? is your hair brown/red/auburn? if not, i probably dont know you.
Ajemii says:
merlin: yea, i LOVED inkheart and inkspell! they were so cool!!!
Sinity says:
I like inkheart and inspell. I also LOVED Eragon and Eldest. I don't know when the third one will come out.
AnyaStyrzod says:
Inkheart yes (haven't finished Inkspell *looks guilty*), Inheritance definitely, and I LOVE His Dark Materials, CryptoGirl!! The end of the Amber Spyglass was sad though :(
AnyaStyrzod says:
Is there anybody here that isn't a fantasy fan?? That seems unlikely....
Sinity says:
YUP sure does seem unlikley. I know I am a fantasy fanatic.
thewatermelon says:
WHOS TAMORA PEIRCE??!?
Sinity says:
don't know.
Ajemii says:
if you read through the comments long enough, thats been answered already....
Sinity says:
All I know is that she is a writer.
Ajemii says:
shes a YA fantasy writer, most of her main characters are girls.
Kyameron says:
It's funny many people have mentioned the inheritance series but no one has mentioned the Belgaried by David Eddings and Paolini borrowed heavily from that. Even though he did manage to create his own story not a copy of anyone elses.
Tamora Pierce is good but her first couple of books could have used a bit more work. Even she says so.
But has anyone read David Webers Oath of Swords? excellant world making.
I almost didn't notice the kittens and Myrahad... Soo cute.
emeraldcat says:
I read the earthsea first book, but I don't have the others. Oh well.
And why in the universe of chaos would pixies want to be serious???
AnyaStyrzod says:
Because in this, a chaos-free universe, they are chaotic. So, logically, if the entire world were chaotic, they would want to be the opposite: Serious.
...but that's only if you feel like being logical :)
AnyaStyrzod says:
Apologies. Did I say chaos-free?? I meant nearly chaos-free. Because the pixies themselves make part of it chaotic. Is this making any sense at all??? Or am I speaking in circles???
Sinity says:
All I see are circles you're writing looks like this oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Sinity says:
lol
AnyaStyrzod says:
...So it's completely ridiculous?? I don't know. I get a lot of funny looks when I speak like that :P
Adore Tamora. And how about instead of asking who she is, google her or something. Your ARE on the internet. Read the Earthseas, and Inheritance. Inheritance was an awful copycat. Of everthing. Kind of like Book of Three and Black Cauldron and the rest of those. I LOVED the Dark Materials Trilogy. Dragonriders has a LOT of books.
I just finished The Acts of King Arthur and His Noble Knights by John Steinbeck. It was really good, especially the bits he left in Olde Inglese.
Kalietha says:
*actually READ all the comments* I like almost all of the authors I've seen mentioned here...But I find it interesting that no-one's mentioned the Deed of Paksenarrion(sp?). I haven't read it in over a year (had to leave it at home when I went to college *sniff*) so forgive me for not being able to remember the author's name - but the first of the trilogy is The Sheepfarmer's Daughter. Very good fantasy trilogy, female protagonist.
I've read all the Pern books (unless, that is, a new one's come out in the last year), and they're all wonderful ^_^
Tamora Pierce: Read the first three Tortall quartets and loved them, Read the first Trickster one and never did find the second...but I haven't had a chance at theses 'magic circle' ones that were mentioned. Will have to find them.
Le Guin: Wonderful author! Ran across the first three Earthsea books in middle school, I wasn't aware there WAS a fourth - thank you whoever it was that mentioned that! I'll have to find it! And Studio Ghibli doing them? THis is going to be good. Left Hand of Darkness is supposed to be Le Guin's best book - never found it though.
Sitara says:
Wow, I can't wait till those Studio Ghibli movies come out. That's awesome.
AnyaStyrzod says:
Ajemii: FINALLY!!!!!! SOMEONE WHO UNDERSTANDS WHAT I SAY!!!!!!!!!! :D This makes me happy :)
Ajemii says:
i get a lot of practice understanding stuff like that just by trying to understand myself somtimes.......
Ajemii says:
and btw anya: if the pixies were serious, then the world wouldnt be completely chaotic.....
patchwork zombie says:
paul kidd
Magister says:
I quite like Paul Kidd fairys "Trust me I'm a fairy!"
Actually there\'s 6 earthsea books by now. There\'s the original triology: A wizard of earthsea, the tombs of Atuan and the farthest shore.
Then there\'s \"Tales from earthsea\", which is a bundle of short stories.
Then there\'s Tehanu, billed \"the last book of Earthsea\", Followed by \"The other wind\", billed \"really the last book of earthsea\".
maz says:
Phah! My Neighbor Totoro is by far the best Miyazaki film to date. Charm, elegance, beauty, and play - without necessitated violence.
And, so far, the English translations of nearly all of Studio Ghibli's films are just flat out depressing, they lose the play of the superb Japanese voice artists.
Kalietha says:
That many Earthsea books?! *really needs to find the local library*
Maz: I agree. XP THe dubbed version of Kiki's Delivery Service was especially bad. This is why I watch them in subtitled form.
bookbook says:
I only read the tombs of atuan.
CryptoGirl, my hair is brown with blond highlights.
Silverwolf says:
Dragonriders of Pern for SF dragons, Eragon for Fantasy. Princess Mononoke roxxorz.
So...we have pixie court. This could turn nasty really fast.
Ajemii says:
ya im wonderin how long itll be before they get distacted and start looking for shinys......
glennr55 says:
So many books to read so little time and boredom or blindness might set in.
Kalietha says:
Heh. Much books is much goodness. I certainly don't mind all the recommendations...
merlin says:
I forgot about Alison Croggon--The Gift, The Riddle, The Crow, etc... (Different names in US)
I think it started with someone commenting about one of the commentors' names, which looked and sounded like the name of one of Tamora Pierce's main characters' names.
But I have to admit, one of my more personal dark fantasy favourites would have to be the "Tale of Drizzt" trilogy. I really liked those books...
AnyaStyrzod says:
Ajemii: Please explain to me your Theory of Pixie in Relation to the Chaotic Universe. :P
Eccentric Gnome: Let me say this: I am amazed, but happy!!! I don't think I've ever heard of a boy reading Tamora Pierce before...anyway, the work of a good author should be read by all
And yes, GNOMES ROCK!!!! :)
rhrobinson1 says:
AnyaStyrzod, If your surprised about a boy reading Tamora Pierce, How a bout a 48 year old "boy"?
Kalietha says:
Draginladee: I haven't read the 'Tale of Drizzt' books, but I've heard of them. Aren't they by the same author who organized the 'War of the Spiderqueen' books? *totally loves those, can't wait until the last two come out*
*Skittles* says:
See in the last panel? "ELVES HAVE FUNNY EARS". lol
AnyaStyrzod says:
rhrobinson1: Pleasantly surprised. It's just not something I was aware of, or ever expected. As I said, the work of a good author should be enjoyed by all, regardless of age or gender :) We learn something new every day, don't we
Faticia says:
I'm slightly amazed that while all of the fantasy books are being named, no one has mentioned the Green Rider series by Kristen Britain. I know that some people don't like it, but I find it quite enjoyable and a good read.
Hey, fancy that, the next update is going to be on my birthday! Thanks Mith, not that you had any clue that about when my birthday was anyway.
Kalietha says:
Oo yes! Green Rider is the best! I've read the first one many times, borrowed the second from a friend and read it once, are you saying there's more out?! *is getting the itching to go to Hastings again and wind up broke again*
*Skittles* says:
The reeason we were talking about Tamora Pierceis because someone named themself after Veralidaine Sarrasra from the IMMORTALS series! NOW I get it!!!
Ajemii says:
yup. though if you read the trickster books, her last name changes from sarrasri to salmalin.......she got married, can ya guess to who? :P
bookbook says:
Isn't it that mage teacher guy-the black robe? Niko? Wait no, that was in the Circle of Magic series. It's whatshisname the mage guy.
AnyaStyrzod says:
Numair!! ...right? I haven't read it in a while, I might have mangled his name a bit...
But whoever it is, I've always loved that pairing :P
Faticia says:
Kalietha, the third Green Rider book is due to come out in August this year, I believe that it will be the last, though.
I personally haven't gotten around to reading the second book but I am dying to. Is it good?
Narissona says:
I love the banner, its so much like Dread's hair, always changing! Love Dread's little bow in his hair, WHY ISN'T IT CHANGING COLORS!!!! *starts banging computer unitll whole screen begins to change colors*
CryptoGirl says:
this is so cool! i finally have a list of new books to read! *runs out to library* a fantasy comic site is a really good place to get recommendations for fantasy books.
bookbook-gues i dont know you then. i suppose there're a lot of people out there that sound like other people. and without real names its very difficult to tell. though i do like the nicknames a lot. its fun to see all of them, because a lot are from books and things, and its fun to see what kinds of names people choose.
Ajemii says:
anya: ya, u spelt his name right. and ya, thats one of the reasons i like that series.
*Skittles* says:
"oh i do hope not."
AnyaStyrzod says:
CryptoGirl: Yeah, it is cool to see people's nicknames. But nobody's guessed where mine comes from yet...oh well, maybe that's better :P
No, i've actually been wondering where yours came from...is it some book?
4WindsWanderer says:
Mithrandir: I read the Earthsea trilogy. Yeah it is really good. Three more Earthsea books? cool.
Thecatteam says:
Oh I love Inheritance!!!! I just finished reading Eldest yesterday and was hooking up on all the fan sites and playing all the games!!!!!!!
I love His Dark Materials too!!! Maybe Philip Pullman will write another one hooking on to the trilogy because the ending is so sad that I just can't believe he would do that to us!
Thecatteam says:
I love Inkheart and Inkspell TOO!!!!!!!!!!!! I finished reading Inkspell last week. Wasn't as good as Inkheart... but still... I used to hate Cornilia Funke's books! Isn't that sad?
I have another book for you guys to read. It's called The Naming and the sequel is coming out this fall. Sort of like Eragon.... I keep geting Brom and the guy in The Naming (I forgot his name) mixed up!
I don't really like Tamora Prince though. We had to read books for a book project in humanities.... and one of the books to choose from was a Tamora Prince.... something about wizards and knights.... bad first impression.
On that particular project I got assigned Dooms Day Book. DOOMS DAY BOOK ROCKS! (Even though most of the guys in my grade got stuck in the middle (it does get a smite boring.))
On one of the Inheritence fan sites, www.shurtugal.com, there is a list of good fantasy books. Everyone should check it out! www.shurtugal.com is also one of the most organized fan sites I have ever seen! It is awesome!
Hey, anyone who likes Tamora peirce should read George R.R. Martins books. REALLY good, also long and with lots of characters!
thewatermelon says:
Hmmm... Is Anza Styrzod a writer? OR is she/he someone in latin or something!!
AnyaStyrzod says:
It's actually just a double-nickname. The "Anya" part doesn't come from a book (or at least, it wasn't intended to). I'm not a writer yet, but I'm trying! :P (Note to Self: Get a Fictionpress account...)
AnyaStyrzod says:
Thecatteam: "yay last comment"? SOMEONE ELSE WHO AGREES WITH ME!!! YAY!!!
Sinity says:
So when is august 4th?
Faticia says:
I would be interseted to see if anyone can figure out where my name is from, but seeing that it isn't from a book, this might be really tough. Faticia is a fantasy character, though.
last comment again but this is to tell you of another wonderful website called Grocery Store Wars. http://www.storewars.org/flash/index.html ! yay! I don't know where I got this one but I think it is another one from Muse mag so all the people who came here from Muse mag (including me) would probably have already seen it. Of course, I could have simply have heard of it from somewhere else.....
Oh and another GREAT fantasy series that NONE of you mentioned is..... The Warriors series by Erin Hunter!!!!!! I've read the original series and I am working on The New Prophecy (She's still writing them :) )
AnyaStyrzod says:
I'm glad somebody else cares about this. What happened to 'last but not least'?
AnyaStyrzod says:
I must find my library card again. It is gathering dust :( I buy a lot of my books...
AAAAAAAAAAgh! This is confusing.
Just to let you know, I've read the warriors series, subscribe to Muse, have read alot of those books, and have seen Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle.
According to me, both movies are kinda mushy. H.M.C was warped. S.A. is kinda wierd, could be better-no mushy parts.
Just my comments on what I've read and trying to catch up to everything.
hehehe

I feel so great. The last-comment thing was all my idea and now people are fighting over it!! HAHAHA!!!
Bastet says:
And now I have last comment again.

I am still bored. Why?
Mosstar says:

Mosstar says:

Mosstar says:

AnyaStyrzod says:
Why are you watching TV? I'm trying to untie a plot knot and it's making my brain hurt :(
LAST!
As I mentioned, I try to be a writer. I get annoyed when my details start to not fit together. Following this?
Yeah, I should really get a Fictionpress account one of these days...
Oh yeah. I like writing, but I can never get any good ideas! And I get stuck with plotknots too.
AnyaStyrzod says:
I get lots of ideas, but only some of them make their way onto paper. I've never actually finished anything, but I have four or five different storylines going...
MUHAHAHAHAHAHA! Since nobody's here, I will be last for a little while!
AnyaStyrzod says:
Yeah. You go on feeling important, MosSstar. I didn't realize it was 'making fiends' instead of 'friends' at first, but I looked at a couple episodes. I got distracted by muffins...
Last!
Thses comments are almost as amusing as the comic is!
Note I said ALMOST...
AnyaStyrzod says:
Yeah...I figured. Take into account that it's somewhat hard to count when the same person posts almost ten times in a row *coughMossstar* So...that makes this 420 :P
AnyaStyrzod says:
And it's still an awful lot of comments for one comic
glennr55 says:
I think we are goin for a record here
oh and if anything feight is going to try to make herself lose cause shes just that crazy :p

Definitely a record...

It's hard not to lose track... Great comic though, if I haven't said it already.

AnyaStyrzod says:
This is 484 I think...Mith!!! Can we get a recount?? *looks hopeful*

I liked Princess Mononoke the best, but they're all good.
As for books...well, I'll read almost any good fantasy that crosses my path, but my favorites are (um, let's see if I can narrow this down) Artemis Fowl, Harry Potter, the Inheritance trilogy (which isn't finished quite yet, unfortunately), the Bartimaeus trilogy, Tamora Pierce, etc. I've probably left several out....

On that particular project I got assigned Dooms Day Book. DOOMS DAY BOOK ROCKS! (Even though most of the guys in my grade got stuck in the middle (it does get a smite boring.))
