Elys says:

first post! ha ha, the amazons can't get thier history right. ^^ but the question remains... does she turn blue?!

i_like_shiny_things says:

...um...ouch. So here's where the nasty part of the ritual comes in, I take it. Yeesh. And it doesn't help that they lose count of the battles they need to scratch her for! Maybe they need to write this down or something...

Mimir says:

This... this is wonderful irony! She is asked not to forget the battles that no one can tell her about. Isn't the irony delicious? I suppose it does make sense... after all... how can one forget what one does not know? As long as she is never told about the battles... she'll never forget them!

Wolf Dreamer says:

Lot of strange comments Mithandir. Don't be so hard on yourself. A lot of us keep coming here to read your work, so obviously some of us think its nice. Remember, you have no greater critic than yourself.

Out of the thousands of webcomics out there, there are only a dozen or so I read every day and this is one of them. If I didn't enjoy the story, I wouldn't keep coming back. Both of you have done a wonderful job.

Moonclaw says:

OW! Thats got to hurt! As Wolf Dreamer said above, I very much enjoy this comic, It well made and has a awsome plot.Keep up the good work

sousinne says:

Take heart, Mithandir. It sounds like you are pretty stressed out, but believe me, you're not doing anything wrong from where I'm standing. You're giving me a story to follow and delight in, and you're doing it for free.

I've said it before, but CtS is unique, especially for its whimsical, innocent feel. It is a work of art, and nobody but you two could make it. I've followed it for a long, long while now, and I'll still be there when the story ends (barring the usual acts of God, faeries, etc).

Oh, and don't compare yourself to the great masters. That's only a good way to hurt yourself. Their job is to inspire, to show us what to aim for.

*big hugs*

Ginny Lyn says:

Ouch-ness for her and love for Mith.

Like everyone else has been saying, the comic has a specialness of its own that renders any comparison to other stories difficult. I've read so much that I can easily detect how a plot will resolve in most of the stuff I read.
Here, though, is a pleasant surprise and a story that /does/ carry itself well. Even now, as your female lead undergoes an unexpected transformation (of character, if nothing else), you are showing depth. I thought everything was going to be about Leaf finding his dad. I am pleasantly proven wrong.

Don't stop, and don't lose hope. It's not easy being an online webcomic artist (I've already flopped three times, but I'm going to try again very soon). Just know that you will always have our support.

Lae says:

Chill...
U guys are great!
only web comic I read

Kirakea says:

I'm curious to see what Leaf, Myhrad and Feiht are going to think after all this?

Heh this is the first comic I've come back to read for 2005. I can't wait to see what happens! ^-^

Thena says:

OK- I don't normally post, but I absolutely have to now. Mith, you're being way too hard on yourself. You're certainly not the first artist who had trouble posting a comic on time. In fact, out of the dozen or so comics that I return to every day, this is the one that has been on time almost 100%. Don't beat yourself up over missing a deadline- it's not the end of the world. All of your loyal readers will still be here when you come back. This comic is just too good to stop reading! Keep up the good work, and don't be so hard on yourself. This comic is worth the wait.

Riverting says:

*snickers* And they still argue about their history, even in an important occasion such as this. ^_^

King of Shadows says:

Whoa, Mith...

No body expects you to be more than who you are because you are fine as is! It's alright if you were planning some things for the site but they don't come around to completion. You don't have to be perfect, no one can do everything, just be yourself, it is okay.

King of Shadows says:

And never give up. That is something else I learned. Great comic, great story and great job.

LadyPhoenix says:

Ooooh, love the update on the comments. The slider bar is genius! Love the font changes, too. :)

Eolill says:

Lovesies. ^_^ I didn't bother to read all the comments, so I don't know if anybody already said it, but they're holding thei spears a little funny...

Queen Julietaini of Kiador says:

Ow...

Phoebe says:

Yeesh! When I saw that first panel, I thought that they were going to stick with Greek Mythology.

fuzzly cat says:

ouch! poor ayne. i am tired of comments. now i am only going to make a comment when i actually have something important to say which is like all the time. YEAH!

Bubbles says:

Ouch! Poor Ayne!

Ramani says:

OUCH! Poor Ayne!

Ramani says:

Oops. Bubbles said the exact same thing. Mind is elsewhere...How do I get it to come back?...

Lone Star says:

OUCHIES! Poor Ayne.

Bubbles says:

Ouchaz! Poor Ayne.

black*magick*girl says:

more power to Anye!!!!!

JuneBug says:

Ow.

hum says:

I cannot shake the feeling that this is a bit much for a new bow.

hailstorm says:
