#286 - Dragonnapping (as opposed to a dragon napping, as is more usual with Myhrad)
Nao says:
That's taking an I.O.U. a little too far...
Greyman says:
Interestingly they only took as much gold as they could carry, as opposed to the newbie mistake of ladenning yourself down with treasure. They also left a clear clue as to whom did the kidnapping, which rather indicates a trap in the works.
Mimir says:
Indeed, I find this plot most insidious (though perhaps a bit... ironic... shall we say?)
Lae says:
Nooooooooooooooo!!!
Flora says:
Hah we all thought it was a butterfly in the cage... Meat.. No wonder he wont eat meat. The last time he ate meat he got a tour in a metal cage with no bathroom breaks.
I.O.U. means as much as 'I owe you' as far as I know.. Bit strange though, I'd say that with that amount of treasure they already got paid for the sheep.. No need to capture poor Myhrad :(
Arithon says:
THOSE... THOSE SCUM BAGS!!! HOW DARE THEY! I MEAN SURE THE DRAGON TOOK THE SHEEP AWAY! BUT IT DIDN"T TAKE THE PERSONS BABY AWAY! THEY NEED TO BE BURNED TO A CRISP AND DIPPED IN KETCHUP!!!
BenneyChaos says:
This is one of the funniest strips in the whole series. I love the returned IOU, it makes the whole silent story line. And I don't feel bad about Myhrad being stolen because eitherwise he'd end up as a man-eating dragon of Doom. Or maybe he'd still nap a lot... probably do both.
Silverwolf says:
Well that's not to say Myhrad's parents were man-eating dragons of doom...I mean how many dragons bother to leave a note?
crazyninny says:
DEAR GOD NO!!! WHY MOST THIS HAPPEN!??!? WHY!!!! *pixie* Cuz' it gose with the plot!
Kieah says:
Maybe they're going to hold Myhrad for ransom.
AMiz says:
Am I the only person that thinks the gold looks like sand?
Sacrianna says:
No you aren't AMiz, I think that crabish looking thing is supposed to be a ruby.
onebrokenthing says:
Gotta love the title. and the IOU.
Kaye says:
why take Myhrad? I'd just fill the wagon with gold :)
Flora says:
To distract him from the gold being stolen. Plus with him thye could perhaps make a profit?
Squeakers says:
Poor Myhrad :( I still think the I.O.U note is cute though when they are taking the gold but that really doesn't tell me why they are also taking Myhrad unless they are just being mean and getting back at the parents for the sheep.
Moonclaw says:
Evil, revelgful farmers. I can see now why Myhrad is a vegitarion...
Newby says:
Isn't the "ruby"/"crabbish-looking thing" actually the butterfly Myhrad was chasing before (s)he pounced on the bait in the trap?
Elys says:
... ::twitch:: nooooo!!! poor myhrad!
[isn't it interesting how no one even thinks about the farmers' losses? -sheep-]
Taking Myrad AND gold... that's WAY more than a sheep would be worth. Someone said it above & I agree; its not like Myrad's parents took the humans babies or children. At least that we know about. As a mother I'd go balistic if I took a hamburger from someone & they decided they wanted my son & some of our savings as a retaliation.
The return IOU is funny though. :)
Sitara says:
Wow. That's just cruel. I agree with the above: THOSE SCUM BAGS!!! That IOU is so perfect, though.
Wow, but the cuteness in the last few comics has been amazing!
So a few sheep or humans going astray is worth it, innit?
Phoebe says:
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooOOOOOOOooooooOOOOOOoooooooOOOOOOooooooo THEY'RE GOING TO HURT HER! Please, don't! Spare the poor dragonling....She's so young.... *sob*
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Spare the dragonling..He's just a baby...oh and Ramani Myhrad is a boy.
Icy says:
His momma aint gonna be happy, no sir!
Thekid-cat says:
BAD HUMANS! BAD! MAY THE PARENT DRAGONS EAT YOU, AND GRIND YOUR BONES TO DUST, AND THROW THE DUST IN THE SEA!!!
Dungeon&Dragons NERD says:
that would explain why he's a vegetarian. Trapped by meat.
fieryonionofDOOOM says:
NOOOOO! BAD EVIL BAD HUMANS! YOU DIE NOW WITH DEMONS AND FIRE AND PEOPLE FLYING FROM THE CEILING!
... I think that if we killed everybody who hates these guys now, it wouldn't be murder, it'd be genocide.
