Lone_Woulf says:

my money was on the dragon, ah well :(

X-Kal says:

First comment? o_O

I love it! ^_^

X-Kal says:

Ok, so second comment. Excellent strip, as usual.

glennr55 says:

Looks like they invented something, but from whats visible its not math its calculus.
That is one frilly fan!!!
I wonder if E=c3/m is the equation that allows pixies the ability to do the crazy things they do.
Great comic!! :)

MB says:

-_-; ... I am slightly disappointed that Abui had to resort to classic pixieisms to settle this matter. *sigh* Oh, well. What else to expect, what else to expect ...

Pulsy says:

Rofl, the addition invented by Dread looks kinda complicated... Poor feiht, losing 'her my necklace' :P Oh well she'll just steal a new one probably. Or 2 ... or 17 :)

Irish Drinker says:

Awsome comic guys! Nice that the way it was stolen was the way it was retireved. Great stuff :)

Reinder says:

I wonder if E=c3/m is the equation that allows pixies the ability to do the crazy things they do.

It is! E is Energy, just like in Earth physics. c is the constant, the speed of light, in other words, a number too huge for pixies to remember. That number to the power of three is even more astonishingly biiiiiiig. M is the mass of a pixie, which is probably zero or very close to that. So if you divide c to the power of three by that, you get either infinity or a number that will take you several generations just to write down. And that's the amount of energy pixies have at their disposal even before you feed them sugar.

Arya says:

What is Dread holding? Is it a fan? I love Dread's polka-dotted hair, it looks so cool . Still love Dread's wings. Thanks for the new comic. And for the Middle Earth dwealers, Namarie.

Lee says:

It looks like a fan decorated with floral artwork, which must be what they mean by fanart.

And it's a pity they didn't open the case, because that could have made it an open and shut case.

PS Lone Woulf: if you put your shiny money on the dragon Feiht will steal it. Assuming Myhrad doesn't steal it for a hoard first.

Nebra Reppalk says:

Hello everybody, I'm back.*moans of despair among the populance* Yes I'm back from three months of serious campaining with my dwarven brethren.
(This is one of Nebra's personal fantasies, he's really been at home without internet access and quarreling with his siblings.)
Enough about me, Mith and Alien, the art looks as awesome as always. Infinitely better than my stick figures.I won't berate you for not producing a lot of comics over the summer because that means I've got less to catch up on. Keep up the incredible work!!!

AnyaStyrzod says:

"We didn't open it in the first place."
*laughs*
This comic is so crazy it almost makes sense :)Love it!!

Odo says:

My favorite quote (of this strip) "It's a lot harder to be a perversion of justice than it looks, you know."
On the other hand, using a fan to clear the air, when all of them have wings, is a clear example of pixie thought processes, such as they might be.
Now for a question, is Ayne signalling "24" or "42"???

Ebeth says:

haha! poor feiht. just gotta say, this whole storyline is AMAZING! i love pixies... "I thought the dragon was going to win, myself" :P brill, absolutely brill. I love you people!!!

*Skittles* says:

Laziness in progress!

ajemii says:

so how long d'you think ayne will have those spots?

AnyaStyrzod says:

Probably until Feiht feels like taking them off :P Which might be a while...
Or until Ayne threatens her enough to scare her into turing her back to normal...which is kind of unlikely

shineeeeeyyyyyy says:

that bah thing sounds like a sheep who bas.

veralidaine says:

I'm sorry, I thought her dots were stolen?

glennr55 says:

Well said reinder it all makes sense in a pixish way.
PS: Ajemi you were right!!
(just checked the last set of comments)

AnyaStyrzod says:

She got her dots back! They were only missing for one panel

thewatermelon says:

Blah!

Sinity says:

oh no.... they got t right.

MB says:

The dots reappeared because Feiht recovered from getting flicked away like a fleck of dirt by Ayne. ^^

PrancyPranceUnicorn says:

excellent. i like the polka-dotted hair...

BiteMe says:

But what is in the case?
I do not believe that they never opened it.
I mean, hey, what if someone left something shinee in it?
a grave dilemma.

wwolf says:

Huh? I'm confused!

Chariset says:

So now they mount their furry steeds and ride off into the....sunset?

ajemii says:

no, pixies like to ride off into the moonrise. or fly, if they remember.

Dark Dragon says:

No, the pixies would just scatter, forget the cats, steal the moon, then go wreak havoc.

AnyaStyrzod says:

Heeeee good point :)

OtakuLiz says:

Screw might. Theft makes right. In pixie courts, anyway.

says:

Did anyone else notice the sign on the judge's table and the blue pixie's hair change?

BiteMe says:

they always do... o_0

thewatermelon says:

bla bla bla bla bla blaa blalab blaaaalabh blhhhha in blahish

ajemii says:

hmm... i think myhrad shoulda won too... or leaf. or ayne. actually, i think anyone but feiht or abui was likely to win.....

Dark Dragon says:

E=c^3/m ?!?!?!?
I always thought it was M=E*c^3
Yoda's rule!
This is the magic smiley that Ting... I mean Dark Dragon created herself! Don't steal them!!!

Pulsy says:

It's M=E*c^2 .. if it were ^3, a hydrogen bomb could wipe out the solar system.

Pixies formula is even worse: there the smaller you make your bomb the more powerfull it would be ... blow up an atom, destroy the universe? :P

Wulff says:

Figures I'll have t delurk on something like this, but really... It's E=mc^2. If you wanted to solve for mass, it'd be m=E/c^2. The analysis is correct though. It would explain a lot about pixies, or thenagain not. Funny thing is, it could very crudely hold true for quantum mechanics - get a mass small enough, and you get the Big Bang. Pixies inventing quantum mechanics? Oh dear...

Nebra Reppalk says:

Actually E=mc^2 is the formula that explains how mass into energy and vice versa. (Don't ask me to explain it in depth, I just know it off hand). Therefore E=c^3/m probably does the same thing for pixies. c^3, a really, really BIG number, divided by m, a few grams of sugar, results in E, still a large number, which is the energy that pixies now have availible. Thus if they don't consume anything,(m=0) they posess no energy, however if they consume a very large quantity of mass( e.g. a googleplex) they will have very little energy. Thus pixies only consume very small amounts of mass to produce an insane amount of energy. Q.E.D.

thewatermelon says:

anyone else bla?

Sam says:

Ha. "She stole her my necklace!" Good line.

Bob says:

blah

ajemii says:

blah blah blahblah.

glennr55 says:

e=(c^3)/m
em=c^3
m=(c^3)/e
therefore your mass is equivalent to the constant(speed of light)to the 3rd power divided by the amount of energy eld by something therefore pixies have an incredible amount of energy because of their small size. the smaller u are the more energy you can control.

thewatermelon says:

bla bla blahhhhh blah bl

thewatermelon says:

everyone forgot that 3 points bonus was given to defense when ayne was painted polka-dot!!! crap!

thewatermelon says:

final score: 14 to 20+fish in feights favor!!!

bookbook says:

hi
i dont have the energy to be pixieish cause my grandma is going to die

wierdo says:

that's sad.

thewatermelon says:

awwwwww. bla bla blBLA bla

ajemii says:

im sorry. :(

glennr55 says:

Wow thats a major downer.:(

Stefanos says:

I just find it funny that there is a equation calculating energy, when previously they could not tally the results because they have yet to invent addition! Oddly enough, I had a math professor who goofed on basic sums, but was able to figure out triple integrals. Seems the more you learn the more you forget. Maybe HE was a pixie? heh heh
J'aime le bannier!

*Skittles* says:

Why doesn't Feiht chase Abui?

thewatermelon says:

am i blue?

thewatermelon says:

yay! im blue!!

CryptoGirl says:

i think i liked dread's hair best when it was green.

and i agree with the pixie in the last panel. Myhrad should have won!

ajemii says:

i think he shoulda won too!!! sleeping through his testimony shoulda won him an easy victory! too bad they forgot to include his 80,000,000,000,000,000 points in the contest...

Nebra Reppalk says:

To bookbook: I know how you feel. Over a year ago they told me my mother was going to die, despite their best efforts. That was the worst month of my life. You have my deepest heartfelt condolences

Dark Dragon says:

Dark Dragon is annoyed because Dark Dragon's smiley dissapeared and Dark Dragon did not realize it until today.

Dark Dragon also wants to say that Eintstien's formula is E=Mc^2 only because Einstien obviously couldn't see pixies.

Dark Dragon says:

Forget the smileys...they won't work.... fyshies.....42..... whatever

Alien says:

Ever considered you might not be seeing the entire formula? It could be E=c^3/m+2!

AnyaStyrzod says:

Hmm. Good point! In which case, this would all be irrelevant, wouldn't it? :)
PIXIES! *twitch*

Aerinelf says:

*blinks* Pixies are confuzzling.

Eccentricgnome says:

Aliendoyoumeantosaythatallourramblingisfornothing!?!?! Butbutbutthatsthewhole
pointofgnomesexistance!!Iamashamed. SNIFF.Thesoundofagnomecryinginthebackground.

ajemii says:

...that would be typical of pixies...

thewatermelon says:

THEY'RE COMING TO TAKE ME AWAY HAHA!

PixieDust says:

It could be E=c^3/m^-1c

CryptoGirl says:

it could be anything, really. i mean, the banner could go on forever, and just be a string of meaningless numbers. well, meaningless to humans and elves, who knows what they would mean or not mean to pixies

Furia Firelander says:

Ok, let's get our weapons and force alien and mith to get us a new comic

AnyaStyrzod says:

Hmm...*wonders if this comic will also reach 500 posts...*

thewatermelon says:

ego sum discipulus!!!!!!!!!!!!

thewatermelon says:

de latina!

thewatermelon says:

Quidquid...

Pulsy says:

One thing is for sure: it doesn't say E=c^3/m/c*m^2
since that would be farely correct...

Furia Firelander says:

Yes indeed *takes his pixie phone and give them the house number of alien and mith*

Nebra Reppalk says:

Patience is a virtue, Furia. Now is not the time to unleash unnecessary Pixie force. furthermore you would be violating several inter-planar treaties, specifically the 2759 A.U.C. Treaty of Elade-voc, which prohibits the use of pixie force against webcomic creators that are under extreme stress. I vote that we all cut Mith and Alien alot of slack, besides a new issue of Muse just showed up at my house.

AnyaStyrzod says:

Quoque sum discipula Latinae!
Quoque dico quidquid. Quando comicus novus est? Mox?

Liennae says:

Alien & Mith, I love the comic. But I also understand how stressful life can get. *hugs* It's great that you guys actually care enough to at least tell us that the updates will be infrequent, because not all creators do. Thank you so much for all the time and effort you've put in.

Freesia says:

new Muse! yay! and it has a rockin' article about toads in it...yeah

freesia=merlin

AnyaStyrzod says:

What about the, erm, killer robots??

diggo breathenrock says:

like the comic and that calculas is like an invisible colony confusing. becuase if you were in an invisible colony would you be able to see other invisible people? would you be invisible if you could see other people? or would other people see you and you not see them? why would you have an invisible colony any ways???

lunkheadwithanopinion says:

um, ijust started latin a week and a halph ago!!!

Ebeth says:

i love latin this year. doc tells us stories the whole time.

Mossstar says:

Hey Dragyn- (If you're there)
I really love your comic. It's great! I just wanted to let you know the link for CtS doesn't work. :-)

AnyaStyrzod says:

I've been taking it for, umm *counts* four years. This is my fifth. There's still so much though! AAH!!
But yeah, it's a lot of fun. Our teacher gives us 3rd period breakfast. Which is good because we're usually starving by then. :P

BiteMe says:

Wait... what is Dread holding in the first panel?
it looks like a bacon pizza.
BACON! THE ONLY POINT TO MY EXISTANCE!
i hope he'll share.

Nebra Reppalk says:

So you picked up on my Latin refrence, good job, have a cookie. I took three years of Latin, this year I'm taking Greek. But historically the Romans are much cooler than the Greeks. Speaking of which, they talked about Pompeii and Vesuvius in Muse as well. I had to translate Pliny the Younger's description of the eruption for class.

EdorFaus says:

I'm sure some will disagree, but still:
Si hoc legere scis nimium eruditionis habes

AnyaStyrzod says:

Yeep. I need my dictionary

AnyaStyrzod says:

To all those who think Latin is a dead language: I SHUN YOU!!

AnyaStyrzod says:

Yes. Romans were so much cooler than Greeks. Greeks didn't speak Latin :P

Ebeth says:

Yeah this is only my second year of latin...and i didn't really learn anything last year. So i can read maybe two words of that, EdorFaus. XD

The Romans pwned. They ate dormice. How can you eat dormice and not pwn?

ajemii says:

EEK! LATIN!!! i don't know latin, im only in 8th grade! can you pwn without eating dormice? what ARE dormice anyways? some kindof mouse i suppose... *rambling and getting sidetracked* i have the attention span of pixie.

glennr55 says:

I would love to earn latin it is an awesome language but my attention span would cause major problems i dont learn new languages very well. the few things i now are like E Pluribus UNum and Carpe Diem. anything to much harder than the more obvious stuff i could probly only guess at so more power to ya for knowing it.
Dead languages are the best languages.

Nebra Reppalk says:

For all who are wondering, dormice are somewhat like chipmunks, but that's not what made the Romans cool. The Greeks just looked at nature, had a bunch of philosiphers, and fought amongst themselves. The Romans not only conquered pretty much anyone in their way, but they managed an empire from Judea to Brittania for over three hundred years. No small accomplishment.
To EdorFaus: Rough translation, If you know how to read this, you have some knowledge. I'm out of practice, but it's in our Latin room at my school. I like the pun,"Semper ubi sub ubi." It's incorrect in every sense, but it's clever.

EdorFaus says:

Nebra: close, though not quite... but I might be wrong.
I saw it in an email signature a few times, and got curious enough to look it up(never learned latin myself).
As close as I could figure out from several dictionaries and such, it translates to:
If you can read/understand this, you have excessive school knowledge

EdorFaus says:

As for your pun(and indeed most if not all of the other Latin used here), I have no idea what it means. :P :)

Ebeth says:

Pssht. Conquering people? Whatever. The dormice pwned all that.

I know, i'm weird. XD Yay weirdness.

So how about a Best Banner vote? What do you people think? I have to say, the Laziness in progress one is pretty sweet

AnyaStyrzod says:

Nebra: I know that pun (hehee) but everybody else in my class has absolutely no clue what it means. Which is surprising, considering how long they've been students. :P
Ebeth: They ate a lot more than just dormice. And they still pwned. :)

thewatermelon says:

pwt pwns

wierdo says:

yay! pwt pwns!

AnyaStyrzod says:

And now the eternal question: how exactly do you pronounce 'Pwt'? Or should I say, hw xctly d y prnnc 'Pwt'?

AnyaStyrzod says:

Oh great. *smacks head* Now I've started the N MR VWLS craze again, haven't I...

AnyaStyrzod says:

Yay! I haven't! LAST!! :P

Arithon says:

Too much Math! Doing work early pays off eventaully, but me being impatience take the easy way that pays off now lazyness.

CryptoGirl says:

semper ubi sub ubi is one of the class mottos at Pomona college, and it means always where under where, which can be taken to mean always wear underwear.

Bubbles(!) says:

H, Pwt ds pwn. Wll, ctll lk kkpll bttr, bt kkpll pwns dsn't snd s gd s PWT PWNS!!

ultrainventor says:

energy equils mass times the speed of light squared, not the speed of light cubed devided by the mass of an object. go nerds!
