Hm, so maybe spreading rumors are as good as ordinary traps? ^^ Also Leaf doesn't really look like the typical rumormonger. :XD
Osk says:
the kids walk or crawl, or float after them by their own free will
Osk says:
and this may be his plan in the first place. create curiosity with appearant futile effort, then draw them out
eekee says:
mmm, yes, I think Osk has it ^_^
eekee says:
ooh... then there's the matter of how to get Feight to talk about faeries in the first place, so he has something to go on. I donno though... just guessing.
Winterbay says:
Alt-text is made of win :)
also: Cute pixies yes, innocent? nah don't think so...
Nebra Reppalk says:
Fey are definitely dangerous. Stealing children, curdling milk, killing cattle, ruining crops, setting barns on fire. That's why you always bury an iron dagger under the threshold or put an iron horseshoe over the doorframe. Keeps the fey out. If you can get your hands on one, though, then get a horseshoe from Binky, since he can go anywhere.
Anakha says:
Fast! Didn`t even check it until now, good work.
Also: Do Not, hehehe....
no one says:
whos the babby?
Ultrainventor says:
Hmmm... I wonder if that was another one of leaf's plans, saying a negative rumor about the faeries to anger them into reveling themselves. that would be clever if it was.
Ultrainventor says:
oh, I didn't notice that that was already said before.
Nebra Reppalk: It doesn't matter WHAT it is as long as it's from iron. Horseshoes were simply the simplest way how can commoner get to iron.
Sheela says:
Heh, I used to live on a farm which had a horseshoe nailed to the main door. :)
And it was polished really shiny, so we had many frustrated pixies living in the area, whom gathered in big flocks to discuss the "tyranny of nails and shiny horseshoes" ... it was fun. :)
Falsesummer says:
hkmaly: horseshoes from Binky are no ordinary horseshoes - they can go places no other iron can. If you didn't get the reference, you don't read enough Discworld.
(for those that want to know, Binky is the horse Death rides.)
ultrainventor says:
out of curiosity, does anyone play AQ games here like Battleon? if not, then I would recommend it. they have some funny jokes on that game.
Falsesummer: I know, I only choose to not answer that part because it seems silly to me to speak about advantage of "going anywhere" when you refer to something which should stay at doorframe. Unless you plan to move the building, but that would be entirely different reference. Also, I don't believe ordinary human (as opposed to witch) can visit Fae king at all. Don't know where the "door" is, for start (unless you plan to try every picture of giant (censored) you find).
