Chariset says:

I don't think I've ever seen Myhrad look so scared

hkmaly says:

Myhrad seem to have open eyes in last pannel. Is he thinking about trying to fly away to escape teleportation ?

Irish Drinker says:

I guess it is a possible solution.. Myrd ither flys or just hits the ground, ither wa, it saves the Pain of Pixie Teleport....

Mithandir says:

Err... I knew I'd forgotten something ... I forgot the special effects of Feiht teleporting away. So to make it clear: Feith teleported away alone.

Chariset says:

Meaning that they're not being pulled by anything and might plummet to the ground to die a squishy death, yes?

MB says:

Leaf is drawn very well indeed in the second panel; my compliments. But yes, I must agree using pixie-power was a rather bad choice on Leaf's part.

Odo says:

"Hey, you know?"

Oh....

Wonderful! And yes, Myrhad's eyes are definitely open and apprehensive in the last panel. Still the three are attached to an object which does at least have some aerodynamic properties.

Better than an airliner, for instance.

Eagerly awaiting the next.

TaiMaqwilloq says:

hmm well if it makes any difference to you i noticed by the fact that 1) feiht doesnt appear to be in panel 6 and by the fact that ayne looks away in panel 6 that feiht obviously teleported herself away :)

says:

Odo wrote: "Better than an airliner, for instance."

Given that it doesn't have radar, GPS, autopilot, air conditioning, regular mals or an in-flight entertainment system, I'd have to disagree with that. Although it's probably more comfortable than flying Economy.

Lee says:

Oops, that was me. Forgot to sign.

Lee says:

Oops again, "mals" should read "meals".

bookbook says:

um, does the link work again?
Comic 100

bookbook says:

darn

Furia Firelander says:

SO, it is time for our lovely little dragon to learn how to fly?

Dark Dragon says:

BRILLIANT!!! ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!!!!!!!
Shouldn't Feiht be tied down in panel 5?
Or is our little band of wanderers in very big trouble????
Poor Mith! I just read the news and stuff....Hope you get better soon! ^^

Nebra Reppalk says:

Ladies and gentlemen, "Why dwarves like to keep their feet solidly on he ground." Reason One: Unreliable source of power. Reason Two: Innate, rational fear of falling out of the sky and suffering severe injury and/or death upon reaching the sudden stop at the end of said fall.

Shadow Phoenix says:

Oh dear. A squishity death seems slightly iminent, although the glider will help a lot. This is a really pretty comic, anyway.

Curiosity says:

I don't know. It looks like they have been gliding w/out Feiht pulling them so I doubt they will fall now that she's gone. I love the comment in panel 4.

Pulsy says:

i love how Myhrad holds on to the bar with all 4 paws :D At first i thought Aynes legs were missing in the last panel but i guess it's just perspective... Or were the legs left out because that's where the warp effect was supposed to be?

Zela says:

I've always wanted to hang-glide! Take me along, Leaf!
Er... anyway, I like how Feiht is hanging on to the bar the same as everyone else. The hair looks really nice. And the ocean horizon looks curved like they're really high up! Oooh!

AnyaStyrzod says:

I feel really sorry for Myhrad. It might be that look of his in the last panel...

Bluedragon012 says:

Aww poor Myrad.. *cuddles him* I strongly encourage you all that make this web comic to keep it going!

shineeeeeyyyyyy says:

That would be fun but Ayne learn to like or love pixies i mean come on there so small and cute like me!!!!!!

says:

wonder what item two is...

Joke says:

hy all

Black Mantha says:

Well, Feiht has been sitting on the bar since panel 3, so that glider must be doing something right. Here's to hoping they can tilt it down a bit so that they can keep up their speed and not stall.

Anyway, a normal piece of cloth and some wood might not be sufficient to make a proper glider for a human, but fortunately elves and presumably dragons are of a lighter build.

Arya says:

Still love Ayne's outfit, and Leaf and Ayne's expressions in panels 3 & 4 is priceless. Maybe this is where Myhrad will learn how to fly.
Love the new comic. Great work1

Dark Dragon says:

I believe you are right, a squishity end indeed Shadow Phoenix. Why do you all hate flying?!? It's so much fun...until the klunk-crash-ahhmyclavin-bonebraking landing at the end........(^^)
landing is always hard....(T____T)

Max Randor says:

This comic started off very good and has only got better the graphics are now absolutely amazing.
It is a long way down.in panel 4 it looks like Myhrad has got his wings out in preparation for a crash landing maybe he can save them.
I am not getting a flashing cursor when writing this comment (firefox 2.0)

Vagabond says:

I agree that the graphics are amzing. Leafs face and posture in the second and third caption is absolutely adorable. The smile of utter relaxation and satisfaction Vs the deep angst in the third.

AnyaStyrzod says:

Dark Dragon: I don't get it either!! Flying is lotsa fun...and we've (I'm not skitzo, fyi) actually never crashed :P But then...there's a first time for everything, so I'd better watch out...

Me says:

So it's Chasing the Sunset (aka cartoon) physics, it's impossible to say what happens. In many cartoons a threat is only realized when those in peril notice it (aka. Wiley running off a cliff until he looks down). I suppose CtS is more "real" than that, but even in best of cases they would be looking at crash-landing on unintended part of the swamp. Really seemed set-up for that from the beginning; unless Myhrad decided to learn to fly to power them on, but there doesn't seem to be great enough peril to warrant it - at least yet. Gotta agree though, great comic and fantastic art. (Naturally, it's a fntasy comic after all:)

Empress Catriona of the Cat-People says:

Oh dear... let's hope the li'l dragon leatns how to fly, fast.

Freesia says:

leaf in panel two looks AWESOME
also, I'm viewing this through the secret, and I really like it

Lightwing k'Sheyna says:

Myrhad's(sp) face in panel four is just priceless.

Oh, and this is a bit off topic, but does anyone here read manga? I'm currently reading Fruits Basket with some of my friends. I'm up to book 11, but the English versions only go to 15>:(

Mossstar says:

Myrad's eyes in pannel 6 are really huge!

CryptoGirl says:

the key to flying: falling and missing the ground.

says:

Umm...
There being no fireworks factory, will she go to another one, the place where Leaf wants to go, or nowhere?

Let's hope it's not the first one...

*Imagines chaos. Shudders*

BiteMe says:

So the thought process goes like so...
whee! fireworks!/Wait... why am I carrying this kite-y thing?/ShortycutShortycut!/They'll have *fun* coming down.../who cares I'm going to find shineeboomieeflameysticks!
I fear for the heroes.
Very very much.

BiteMe says:

Very much indeed.

Glennr55 says:

to make sure you miss the ground you must get distrated right before you hit causing you to forget about hitting the ground and then your flying.
for more info see A Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy

Chariset says:

I'm sure Feiht will return just after they land, saying "Hey! There's no fireworks factory here!"

4WindsWanderer says:

But this way is more fun, Feiht, this way is more fun. Now pull.

Nebra Reppalk says:

Yes, to fly one must head for the ground and at the last possible moment be distracted by something so much that you forget to hit the ground. Therefore it is most likely that someone with ADD or ADHD is most likely to learn to fly first because of their tendency to get distracted.

Sage says:

It's not the fall that hurts, it's the sudden stop at the end.

Pulsy says:

Hmmm... i wonder if this flying experience would make Myhrad a little more confident, and perhaps make him want to try his own wings. If for no other reason, that would be safer then using pixie powered hanggliders. The way he looks scared now, i wouldn't be surprised if he actually let go in order to reach the ground as soon as possible. Even if he can't fly, just spreading his wings should send him nicely gliding down to the earth no?

Dark Dragon says:

Cartoon Physics are awesome!!!
Pulsy: I highly doubt Myhrad realizes this though.....

Lightwing k'Sheyna: Manga's RULE!!!!!

Random note: I may be starting my own webcomic....if/when it is up I shall inform those on this site of the url. (WARNING: It contains a lot of random junk.....)

however, being distracted at that last moment is very hard....if you don't have ADD/ADHD then have your friend tell you that your crush is walking by....this only works for people who aren't married though....Mith, if you want to learn how to fly, I can't help....sorry (T____T)

AnyaStyrzod says:

Manga! YAY!! I'm taking an art class and it's loads of fun :)

thewatermelon says:

i dont get art until the end of the year...>=(

Aerinelf says:

Awww... Poor Myhrad! He looks so pitiful in panel four. But he's so cute!

espademia says:

i think this is a perfect time to teach myhrad to fly.

what would happen if Feiht found out that there isn't a firework factory?

Mossstar says:

Hey, there's more Erodufuses or whatever they are!

Dark Dragon says:

espademia: Utter Chaos.
Sage: How true....how true.

espademia says:

Dark Dragon: your right, but it would be cool if he did.

espademia says:

i ment if she did

SuperCat says:

"Whatever could go wrong?..."
OOH OOH PICK ME I KNOW! *waves hand energetically*

Furia Firelander says:

Uhm, Dark Dragon, the problem isn't, what if she don't find the factory, the problem is, what if she could find a factory

Pulsy says:

Espademia: if Feiht doesn't find the factory somewhere in the next 8 seconds, she'll probably just forget it was supposed to exist...

Karigana says:

I think the realization that Feiht hadn't been actually pulling them for some time would make them put that as #1 on their list :D

Empress Catriona of the Cat-People says:

Hey! Leaf! Look over there, you're just about to be awarded the cup for most ingenious powered flight device!!

bookbook says:

Ugh.
ok, one more stab at the link.
P.s. the glider looks enough that it will act as a sort of parachute, slowing their fall. great comic.
Comic 100

bookbook says:

stupid link

Dark Dragon says:

Furia Firelander: There will be a problem whether Feiht finds a fireworks factory or not....

bookbook: Maybe you're just cursed...

Comic 100

Dark Dragon says:

Nope....The site is just possessed....lol

AnyaStyrzod says:

It is possessed...I think it ate one of my posts...

AnyaStyrzod says:

Or maybe the macs at school are just more defective than I already knew they were...

Midnight Bat says:

maybe its cursed for people...
Comic 10

Midnight Bat says:

and my verdict: posessed.

espademia says:

Plusy:she propebly will forget that there was a factory

it most likly is cursed/posessed

Tabyathe Foxhampton says:

Great story as always! Get to feeling better, Mith!

Tabyathe

Furia Firelander says:

Let's hope she gets distrected very soon. Otherwise she might even start cursing this site, or did she do that already.

Blue River says:

SWEEEEEEET!!!!!!!!!!!
I like the view in this strip!

Empress Catriona of the Cat-People says:

Defective Macs? What the hell did they do Macs to make them defective? *huggles all Macs everywhere*

AnyaStyrzod says:

Just my opinion. My friends and I are used to PCs and our school has all macs now....I haven't taked to a single person in the whole school that is a mac advocate

espademia says:

my teachers say we need new computers at my school

Ebeth says:

Macs are defective but not as bad as pcs. In my opinion, all comps are defective. But i love them anyway. XD

Love the artwork. And love myrhad. Love the whole comic, actually. *sends lots of love* :D

Empress Catriona of the Cat-People says:

I thought you meant they'd been broken somehow. I've been using both Macs and PCs for the last 12 years, and I prefer Macs, as they crash less, much less, and many viruses that affect windows don't affect Macs.

Flaming Mono says:

That's because virus creators don't give a crap about making viruses for Macs.

PhoenixMark says:

Uh-oh...
I get the feeling that there will be explosions soon...

Mental AND physical.

Pickles/N/Cream says:

Lightwing k'Sheyna: yes, manga is fun, but its probably better to find a forum or something other than this comic to talk about it on. :)

Lightwing k'Sheyna says:

I wasn't trying to start a converation, just asking if other people liked it. If you go back and read some older forums, you'll find many conversations that really had nothing to do with CtS.

AnyaStyrzod says:

Once again, maybe it's just me, but macs crash all the time. They just hate me. I'm friends with my PC :) It likes me....most of the time....yeah, no computers are perfect. Wait about fifteen years and they will be :P

Nebra Reppalk says:

I don't like computers that refuse to cooperate. My motto is, "Kick it a few times, see what happens." Unfortunately percussive therapy does not always work. Plus computers don't respond to threats.

Lone Star says:

OH NO!! NOT PIXIE TELEPORTATION KICKING IN AGAIN!!

... says:

"I'm sure I've done crazier things than make pixie powered flying devices."

Um, do we really want to know?

*Skittles* says:

eek indeed.

Bubbles says:

I don't get art till the end of the year either... I go to HMS.

Silverwolf says:

Well they are still gliding and have momentum. They might still make it...

JuneBug says:

See?
I told you it wouldn't work.

hailstorm says:

poor dragon
