I think the point of Remembrance Day (11th) is that 'Too many people die in wars. Those people were brave, but war is bad, peace is better.' Or at least that's what I got back when I was at school. I hadn't heard of Transgender Remembrance Day before. Sounds like a good idea to me.

The people who wrote the armistice thought it would be good for history to end it like this, but then everybody started firing their guns and ordering men over the top just to get the last shot in "The Great War". I think that was kind of wasteful myself.
