I'm sorry for the crappy colouring. Despite all the delays, I ran out of time and patience to do it properly.
In fact, my stress level is so high these days I might have to find another scriptwriter/colourist for Alien.

What are you talking about? The coloring looks fine to me ...maybe the flames lack a little orange, but i didn't even notice till i went looking
Issaquena says:
The coloring is fine! Don't worry about it.
MOUSIE!!!
Elystriana says:
Huzzay, mousie's back! I guess it was Geb who said stop.^^
Alex says:
Love the fact he knows his own 'traditions'. I take it magic isnt such a bi deal to 'earth gods'.
I wonder if smashing the bars will break the spell? If not, I don't know how Leaf's getting out.
Unless someone points out to Feiht the magical pixie-power of disabling anti-magic fields. :P
Good thing those kittens aren't still around to see that mouse. ^^;;
Nebra Reppalk says:
Of course, once a god's avatar has done something, he has to make it appropriately epic. Main characters always have to be epic. Or maybe I've been reading too much of the Exalted sourcebook....
Very nice comic as always!
So, what about Leaf? And Myrhad? And Feiht? Especially Feiht! We can't leave her locked up in that jail cell! That would mean SHE would find some way to get out of it... *shivers*
Chariset says:
I'm sorry, I can't hear "Geb-Ra" without thinking of Thundercats....
Chariset: Ha. No, ut's not from thundercats :) I'm actually amazed nobody has figured out the name yet ... you guys, girls and misc are usually so good at ferreting out information :)
Chariset says:
Well, Mith, the only similar thing I can think of is the honorific -rah suffix from Watership Down.
Hmmm... Geb-Ra seems to be either a title (King Geb, Lord Geb, God-king Geb, Earth-god Geb...) or part of his name as an avatar of the earth god. I'm not as well versed as you all are in the ways of the random references to stuff, so I'll leave it up to you.
Or it could be a dwarvish thing. Nebra? Any ideas?
Nebra Reppalk says:
Sorry Narian, I haven't got anything for you. My clan worships Moradin the Dwarffather. We don't use suffixes like "-ra"
Oh! Oh! Oh!
I just looked it up on Wikipedia!
Geb wias the Egyptian god of the earth!
?? Maybe there was some Egyptian myth where Geb combined with Ra. Anybody?
says:
As for the "-ra" suffix meaning "Lord" or something: Then "Master Geb-Ra" wouldbe somewhat redundant.
Geb being the Egyptian Earth-God is a striking reference, but the only reference known to me between Geb and Ra is the egg-laying mentioned above.
So I'd go for "Geb", as his name, and "Ra" for his "Rhaaaaaaaaa"-tradition. ;-)
I'm a little confused ... I thought Geb said literally that he COULDN'T break out? Does ripping the bars out negate the spell of antimagic spun between them? ... I guess I'll have to wait for tomorrow before I can find out. o_o;
Nebra Reppalk says:
Trust me, continuity isn't that important. As long as there's some sort of handwaving explanation.
Chariset says:
I was confused on that too. I guess Geb was just trying not to get Leaf's hopes up.
Do the antimagic fields still work if the bars are down?
Chariset: Maybe the antimagic field still works, but Geb didn't move _through_ the bars :-)
Neko says:
Woot! 12 more minutes till the next comic!
Neko says:
What is up with that funky language? Woot! 2 more minutes!
Neko says:
Or whatever that thing is, language or spam I don't care...but what's up with it? That has got to be the LONGEST post I have EVER seen! That's gotta be world record breaking! Seriously! That thing was massive! Woot! 1 more minute!

When the Ennead and Ogdoad later merged, it was thus Geb who was considered the goose who laid the egg from which Ra emerged.
