Nah, the word is "someone might get hurt (including me)" :)
Osk says:
what do you think happened to leaf? and how come both dwarves have axes while a sizable axe was just thrown?
Pulsar says:
Hehehe i can hear Freddy Mercury sing the title :D
Elystriana says:
The dwarves probably have more than one axe each (one for throwing- one for hand-to-hand). I wonder who yelled stop- maybe whoever's been tying up the dwarves has finally arrived.
I think perhaps a third dwarf threw the axe... and it will be interesting to see who yelled... but I love Ayne's line, "You're not supposed to be here yet!"
Dark Dragon says:
what will happen to Ayne if she reaches too far through the bars? I know if you try to slip out through them, you lose your magic, but what about slipping in?
the title picture is making more sense now...
Tonic says:
It's hard for me to tell if Ayne's swordsmanship in the last panel is really good or realy bad. Either 1) she's trying to grip a sword with two hands that doesn't have a handle to do it and has her right wrist at a terrible angle for a conventional parry or 2) she's preforming a wing block and using her left forearm to brace the flat of her blade. If it's the second I wonder where she learnt that, if it's the first she stands a very good chance of breaking her wrist and having the dwarf's axe push her own sword into her chest.
TL Wyvren says:
Both dwarves have blue headbands. maybe their here to break out Geb the god. Speaking of which, is he still there?
Loving the comic as always... glad I could catch up after the past couples weeks! But (of course there's a but), what happened to 475? :(
EveryZig says:
These dwarves have different uniforms than the guards.
Nebra Reppalk says:
I'm betting it was Geb who's saying stop, since he's the avatar that the revolutionaries want to liberate...theoretically. And based on the headbands, I would venture to say yes, these are not guards. Like I said, it seems this clan uses red for its livery which all the guards and officials have been wearing. And it appears Ayne actually suffered some physical damage from her previous scuffle.
to ad-lib a scene from the most pwnsome book ever, Good Omens:
"A hard thing pressed into his back. 'Drop the gun,' said Anathema, 'or I will regret what I shall have to do next.'
Well, it's true, she thought. If he doesn't drop the gun he'll find out this is a stick, and I shall really regret having to be shot."
Osk: Why should anything happen to Leaf ? I suppose he's only sleeping ...
I suppose these dwarves are from rebelion too (and Geb is saying stop, because unlike us he KNOW how the rebel dwarves looks), but why did they attack Ayne (which they know nothing about, only that she's elf) ?
Inbetween says:
Do you neead a reason to attack someone when you are doing a prison break? If someone ain't whit you, then the odds are that they are against you. Even if they scream "I here to sett you free" to another prisoner.
Chariset says:
Leaf? Leaf?? *poke poke*
h says:
Didn't you guys notice that the background to "stop" is red? I'm guessing Leaf with some furies...
Naaah, looks brown to me. I'm pretty sure it's Geb.
Elystriana says:
The outline is brown, the field is a pinkish shade. Which means it probably IS Geb, since he has that same background color in previous dialogue (although with black outline instead of brown).
Cactus says:
She had better watch out with that long hair near those flames... I remember what happened the last time my hair got too close to fire...
Dark Dragon says:
I'm surprised she hasn't burned herself on the torch bracket...
Wrecked perspective. She got up around the door. The torch is quite a way to the side of her.
Jynx says:
I understand the whole "if she's not with us, she's against us" thing, but why would the blue-headband guys assume an elf is on their side (assuming dwarf-elf bad relations ;;), and if not that, isn't it fairly obvious she's trying to talk to Leaf, not kill him or Geb?
Inbetween says:
joust saying one thing. Revolutionary's. not necessarily the brightest of fellas.
Elystriana says:
True. that's probably because the smarter people know better than to try and have a revolution.
Chariset says:
..we-eell, you know, we all want to change the world..
Or is it that smart people DO start revolution, but they are not around when there is time for lay down life for it ? (On the other hand, they are around when revolution wins and is looking for new leaders.)
Nebra Reppalk says:
I suppose it depends on the situation. But the question is, why are they having a revolution? Is there a legitimate grievance, or are they just being revolutionary to hold a revolution?
Inbetween says:
well, since they are dwarfs, it´s possible that they receive state fonds to hold a revolution. This makes it easier to make sure that the revolution never actually takes place...
Smart people don't start revolutions!
Smart people carefully assassinate the arch-duchess of Uberschnortsch and watch chaos ensue!
Midge says:
Panel 6: when did Ayne get the little earring thingy?
Jynx says:
Narian: I like your thinking. Spark the cause for something like a revolution, and let other people do all the work. Heh.
Chariset says:
I must say it's nice to see Ayne actually using her sword. She's really good at brandishing it in a threatening fashion but we've never seen her actually fight with it until now.
