What I'm wondering is why are we seeing three sets of claws coming over the hill and why does a diurnal, land-based creature need a lure-lamp like a deep-sea fish? I'm sure all will be discovered.
Because we are seeing two front legs and one hind leg of a monster that is more of a salamander than a bunny?

Maybe if they managed to extract carbon from the grass and sulfur from the ground and compress it, they could make a makeshift gunpowder and then hollow out one of the blades of grass for a barrel! then they could stuff the gunpowder into the grass and put a small rock in there, punch a small hole for access to the powder, and then leaf could use his furies to light it and presto! a makeshift mini-cannon!
Now the only problem is that a round projectile looses it's velocity notoriously fast, not to mention the grass might explode or burn, and there is also a problem as to how to extract the sulfur from the ground and the carbon from the grass. crud, there I go again. I haven't posted for some time so I guess I am making up for it with an extra long monologue. Carbon! C! flammable! semi-conductor! black! brittle! non-metal! Solid at room temp! Four valence electrons! combines with oxygen to form either carbon dioxide, CO2, or carbon monoxide, CO! OK, I think that is enough.
